Questions from the job site.

Is this actually free?

Yes. Free includes 25 voice jobs each calendar month, with no card required and no trial expiry. A voice job is one recording processed into an invoice or quote; both use the same monthly allowance.

What if Toolbelt mishears me?

Review the draft before sending. You can correct the client, descriptions, hours, rates and materials. Check the totals and recipient too. You decide when to send.

Can I use it if I’m not registered for GST?

Yes. Set your GST registration status in your business settings. Toolbelt uses that setting to include or leave out GST on your invoices. Review it during setup and before sending.

What does my client receive?

An email invoice with your business details, itemised work, total, due date and your selected payment instructions. Your voice recording is not the client invoice. Open the sample above to see the email layout.

How do payment reminders work?

You can send a payment reminder email to your client manually from an invoice on Free. Pro adds automatic emails to clients for overdue invoices when you enable auto-chase in Settings, where you choose the interval and maximum number. These are client emails, not a promise to notify you after seven days.

What is the BAS accountant pack?

A quarterly summary of invoices and GST, with labour and materials totals and invoice statuses. The BAS screen offers PDF and CSV exports, and you can email a summary with a PDF attachment to your accountant. These are records for review, not an ATO lodgment.

Can I sign up for Pro now?

Paid upgrades are not open yet. You can create a Free account now, including if you choose Pro below. No payment is collected at signup. Pro will require a separate paid upgrade when it becomes available.

What happens at my monthly limit?

Your recording is saved in the job queue for processing when your allowance resets. You are not automatically charged for an upgrade. Check the queued job in the app before relying on it being delivered.
